Smash Palmanyola #7 Tournament Report

After hosting all of its tournaments during the first half of 2026 at Casal Sa Fàbrica in Inca, Smash Bros. Mallorca returned on September 5 to the Salón de Actos de la Entidad Local Menor de Palmanyola to host its latest monthly tournament, Smash Palmanyola #7. And if conditions remain the same, this will once again become our home venue for Ultimate and Remix for quite some time.

So, what happened at this latest Smash Bros. Mallorca event?

Neo (jab jab jab sahur), visiting the island

Neo, formerly known as HungryVOX, currently lives and competes in Barcelona, where he has improved tremendously, becoming one of the most skilled players in the Mallorcan community. As a result, all eyes were on him: quite a few people saw him as capable of winning the event.

The opening rounds went more or less as expected, with no particularly notable upsets. The most noteworthy early set was the one between Moyans!!! and KeyAdri, with the former winning 2-0 and going on to face PinkAplier in Winners Quarter-Finals. He managed to take the R.O.B. main all the way to last hit before dropping to losers (2-3).

The most anticipated set of that round was the matchup between Amerlín (formerly known as Apathy) and jab jab jab sahur. It was a very intense set, but ultimately the Barcelona-based Chrom main took the win (3-2).

Meanwhile, Mr.Z (formerly known as Zac) managed to upset Duroman21 (3-1), while Ramonium defeated Jotan (3-0).

In the semifinals, jab jab jab sahur defeated PinkAplier’s Donkey Kong (3-1), while Ramonium did the same against Mr.Z (3-1).

And so, the Winners Final would be between Ramonium and Neo. The veteran Toon Link main managed to send his opponent to losers (3-1).

Duroman21 and Amerlín’s epic losers run

The first major upset in losers came when Kamuida eliminated Moyans!!! (3-2), securing the first top 8 finish of his competitive career. However, it is worth highlighting Duroman21’s incredible run, as he tore through the losers bracket after being sent there early by Mr.Z. In fact, he defeated KeyAdri (3-2), Jotan (3-1), and PinkAplier (the tournament’s #1 seed, 3-1).

On the other side of the bracket, Amerlín was doing much the same. After being defeated by Neo, he was out for revenge and showed no mercy to his opponents, winning every set without dropping a single game on his way to the semifinals. He defeated Shika (formerly known as Kaeru, 3-0), Kamuida (3-0), and Mr.Z (3-0).

However, once there, Duroman21 put a stop to his run, setting himself up for a showdown against Neo.

The Chrom main, however, was eager for another chance to face Ramonium and defeated the Dr. Mario player (3-0).

And so, the grand final arrived...

Historic victory for Ramonium

Jab jab jab sahur wanted to return to Barcelona with the victory, so he tried using Roy in the opening games of the grand final against the Toon Link main. After Ramonium took the lead, Neo decided to switch back to his trusty Chrom, managing to force a 2-2 tie.

However, Ramonium managed to hold his ground and avoided the dreaded reset. And so, the Toon Link player won the tournament, his first victory since the days of Smash 4, and did so completely undefeated, never dropping into the losers bracket. It took him more than eight years to win another Smash Bros. Mallorca monthly tournament, but persistence pays off!
